No corona death in Jamshedpur for 8 consecutive days

Total death toll 374, 30 fresh cases, 16 cured, positivity rate slides to 4%

Jamshedpur: Coronavirus pandemic has not claimed any life for the last 8 consecutive days in the city. The death toll remains at 374 for East Singhbhum district.

However, on Wednesday, 30 more corona positive cases were found in the district. On the other hand, 16 patients were also cured and discharged from different hospitals of the district.

Till date, 17,192 infection cases have been reported in the district. Out of these, 16,610 patients have already been cured.

For now, the district has only 208 active cases which are being treated.

The positivity rate for coronavirus infection has now declined to 4%. It was hovering around 4.1% for quite some time.. On the other hand, the recovery rate is still stuck at 97%, while the death rate too remains at 2.2%.

On the other hand, on Wednesday, a special massive test drive was launched in East Singhbhum at block and village level. In all, 5981 samples were collected. 18 were found positive.
