JAMSHEDPUR – Former Chief Minister Champai Soren has accused the government of negligence following the death of Mongol Munda, a descendant of tribal icon Birsa Munda, in a road accident.
Soren alleged that Mongol Munda’s death was a result of delayed medical treatment after the accident. Speaking to reporters in Kandra on Saturday during his journey to Ranchi, he expressed sharp criticism of the government and health department, stating, “The administration has failed to protect even the descendants of Birsa Munda, whom we revere.”
He further highlighted that the inability to provide security to such important figures reflects poorly on the government’s commitment to public safety. Soren also linked the issue to political dysfunction, pointing out delays in cabinet expansion as evidence of ongoing challenges within the ruling coalition.
During the discussion, Soren hinted at significant future political moves, stating that there is much work ahead. He also held consultations with his supporters on various pressing issues during his visit.
