Literary Icons Celebrated at Lokmanch and Balmukund Gupta Jayanti

JAMSHEDPUR – A grand celebration of literature unfolded at Tulsi Bhavan’s Prayag Hall, marking the Lokmanch program and the Jayanti of renowned Hindi author Balmukund Gupta. The event also witnessed the launch of a new Hindi short story collection by veteran writer Sheetal Prasad Dubey.

The program began with a Saraswati Vandana by Neeta Sagar Chaudhary and a lamp-lighting ceremony. Guests paid tribute by garlanding a portrait of Balmukund Gupta, with Nilima Pandey presenting his brief biography. Renowned literary figures like Dr. Uday Pratap Hayat and Dr. Yamuna Tiwari "Vyathit" highlighted the legacy of Gupta and Dubey through thoughtful reviews and poetic renditions.

Later, 35 poets captivated the audience with compositions in languages such as Hindi, Bhojpuri, Bengali, and Sanskrit. Notable poets included Sheetal Prasad Dubey, Manju Kumari, and Brajendra Nath Mishra, presenting diverse cultural richness. Dr. Sanjay Pathak "Sanehi" and Reena Sinha "Saloni" also shared their verses, reflecting deep literary engagement.

Key attendees included Tulsi Bhavan Secretary Dr. Ajay Kumar Ojha and prominent cultural figures like Mahendra Tiwari and Baby Pandey. The program concluded with heartfelt thanks by trustee Arun Kumar Tiwari.
