JAMSHEDPUR – Naval Tata Hockey Academy cadet Roshan Ekka has been selected for the Hockey India Junior Men TOPS NCOE National Training Camp at SAI Bengaluru.

The camp will run from February 15 to March 31, 2026. It will be held at the National Centre of Excellence. This selection marks a significant achievement for Roshan and the academy.

Naval Tata Hockey Academy announced the achievement on February 4. The Jamshedpur-based academy expressed pride in Roshan’s accomplishment. Moreover, the institution reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing young talent.

Roshan joined the academy in 2019 as a young cadet. He trained there until 2023 with consistent discipline and dedication. In April 2023, his performance earned him selection at NCOE Lucknow.

However, his latest achievement represents his most significant milestone yet. The selection demonstrates the strong foundation built during his NTHA years. Furthermore, it validates the academy’s training methodology and coaching standards.

Roshan becomes the 8th player from Naval Tata Hockey Academy selected nationally. The academy has previously contributed three cadets to the Indian Sub-Junior Team. Additionally, this record reflects sustained excellence in player development programs.

Gurmeet Singh Rao serves as Project Director at Naval Tata Hockey Academy. He expressed immense pride in Roshan’s selection for the national camp. “Roshan’s journey from a young sub-junior cadet has been inspiring,” he said.

On the other hand, Rao emphasized the cadet’s discipline and hunger to learn. He noted Roshan’s growth through the ranks with sheer dedication. Moreover, watching his progression to Junior India Camp proved truly rewarding.

The academy continues playing a pivotal role in developing grassroots talent. It guides young players toward national excellence and international platforms. In addition, NTHA’s vision focuses on producing nationally competitive players.
