MEDININAGAR – Acting on a tip-off, Palamu police intercepted a car carrying illegal liquor near Dangwa.
Late Wednesday night, Palamu police conducted a raid based on intelligence about illegal country liquor being smuggled from Deori Kala to Bihar.
The vehicle, a white Swift Dzire with registration number JH01BE 3770, was found parked on the roadside near Nadian village under Dangwa OP jurisdiction.
The car’s doors and trunk were open, revealing 30 cartons of liquor, each containing 25 transparent plastic bottles labeled as "Tanaka Desi Sharab."
Seizure Details and Ongoing Investigations
Officer-in-charge Sonu Kumar, who led the operation, confirmed that the cartons held 750 bottles, equivalent to 225 liters of liquor.
The seized vehicle and liquor have been secured at the Dangwa OP for further examination.
Police are now investigating to uncover the identities of those involved in the smuggling operation.
"Strict action will be taken against those involved in illegal liquor trafficking," the police emphasized.
Efforts to trace the larger network behind the smuggling are underway.
