JAMSHEDPUR – On the occasion of Birsa Munda’s 150th birth anniversary, the nation celebrated Tribal Pride Day, with tributes pouring in for the legendary leader.
In Jamshedpur, a gathering at the Sakchi Birsa Munda statue saw participation from dignitaries including Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi, BJP leader Amarpreet Singh Kale, and INTUC leader Rakeshwar Pandey, who paid their respects and pledged to follow Birsa Munda’s ideals.
BJP leader Amarpreet Singh Kale remarked that the dreams which led to the formation of Jharkhand remain unfulfilled.
He stressed the need to draw inspiration from Birsa Munda’s fight for water, forest, and land rights and to pledge to uphold his values to realize the vision of a prosperous Jharkhand.
