MEDININAGAR – Jharkhand Foundation Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Friday, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the legendary tribal leader and freedom fighter.
At the Station Road statue of Birsa Munda, Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Shabbir Ahmed and Medininagar Municipal Commissioner Javed Hussain paid floral tributes.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC Ahmed called the day a moment of pride for the entire state, marking both the birth of Birsa Munda and the foundation of Jharkhand.
He highlighted the importance of collective participation for the prosperity and holistic development of the state and district.
Ahmed also announced the decoration of government buildings, including the Collectorate, with lights to mark the occasion.
Municipal Commissioner Javed Hussain urged people to embrace the principles and values of Birsa Munda in their lives.
Other officials, including Rashmi Ranjan, General Branch In-Charge; Dr. Asim Kumar, District Public Relations Officer; NDC Vikram Anand; and Social Welfare Officer Neeta Chauhan, also paid their respects at Birsa Munda’s statue.
