JAMSHEDPUR – Addressing a rally in Kuchiyasholi village, JMM leader Kalpana Soren urged voters to support party candidate Samir Mohanty in the upcoming election to ensure continuity of welfare initiatives under Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
During the event, Kalpana Soren encouraged the audience to vote for the JMM symbol, the bow and arrow, on November 13.
She highlighted achievements of the Hemant Soren government, including benefits provided to 40 lakh people under universal pension schemes, and direct monthly support of INR 1,000 for women through the Savitri Bai Phule and Maiya Samman schemes.
She also mentioned that 37 lakh people had received electricity bill waivers, alleviating financial burdens on the rural poor.
Soren criticized the central government’s imposition of GST on essential goods, which she claimed has driven inflation and deepened rural poverty. She affirmed that the JMM-led alliance will continue to push for locally-oriented policies that prioritize education, health, and job creation. “Hemant Soren has set a foundation for growth in Jharkhand, and we must strengthen it further,” she said.
She urged voters to reject BJP’s “double-engine” government, accusing it of undermining rural schools and village infrastructure. “This time, Jharkhand should be governed not by BJP’s promises but by the ideals of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s Constitution,” she declared.
The rally saw enthusiastic participation, with community leaders and locals presenting Kalpana Soren with traditional shawls and flowers in appreciation of her work for the community. Several prominent local figures and leaders, including Samir Mohanty, Saroj Mahapatra, and Congress’s Abhay Mahanti, were present at the event.
