CHAIBASA – The Chaibasa police conducted a search operation in the forests of West Singhbhum district.
They discovered an IED bomb laid by Naxalites.
The bomb was intended to target the police.
The operation was based on secret information.
It took place in the forested hilly area between village Hathiburu and Lowabeda under Goilkera police station.
Two IEDs were recovered and destroyed.
The bomb disposal squad assisted in the operation.
An old temporary Naxalite camp was demolished.
The camp was in the forested/hilly area around Tumbahka and Pradhanghat under Tonto police station.
The anti-Naxal campaign is ongoing.
Notable Naxal leaders are believed to be in the Kolhan area.
A combined team has been formed to conduct the campaign.
The campaign targets several areas, including villages and border areas under Goilkera and Tonto police stations.
Two IEDs were specifically recovered during today’s operation.
The ongoing campaign includes demolishing temporary Naxalite camps.
One IED weighed 2.06 kg, and another weighed 5 kg.
