Conservation awareness drive aims to engage thousands of students

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel Zoological Park is set to launch a week-long Wildlife Week celebration starting October 2, featuring various student-focused activities to promote conservation awareness.

The festivities at Tata Zoo are part of a nationwide initiative to raise awareness about nature conservation and biodiversity preservation.

Moreover, this event aligns with the LiFE initiative of India’s Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change.

In addition, the celebration’s theme, "Partnerships for Wildlife Conservation: Our Land, Our Future," emphasizes collaborative efforts in conservation.

The zoo anticipates participation from 1,000 to 2,000 students in diverse activities throughout the week.

On the other hand, these events include essay writing competitions in Hindi and English, debates, and painting contests.

However, the program isn’t limited to students alone.

Meanwhile, the opening ceremony on October 2 will feature Shri Saba Alam Ansari, IFS, DFO – Jamshedpur, as the chief guest.

Furthermore, the week-long celebration will conclude on October 6 with a painting competition for primary and junior categories.

Besides, Ananya Mittal, DC, East Singhbhum, will grace the closing ceremony as the chief guest.
