FIR Against Nine Suspects in Jamshedpur’s Shaktinath Singh Murder Case
Shaktinath Singh was shot dead in Shantinagar; FIR lodged against nine individuals, including a local Congress leader.
A man was shot dead in Jamshedpur’s Mango area, and an FIR has been filed against nine suspects, including a local Congress leader.
JAMSHEDPUR – Shaktinath Singh, also known as W. Singh, was shot dead by criminals on Monday night in the Shantinagar area of Mango.
The police have registered an FIR based on a complaint by the victim’s mother, Premlata Devi.
The FIR names nine individuals, including Montu Gaur, his brother-in-law Kalicharan, Congress leader Ishwar Singh, Nabin Gaur, Chandan, Ashutosh Ojha, and Kishore, who are accused of assaulting Singh with sticks and rods before shooting him.
The police recovered a bullet casing, a misfired bullet, a mobile phone, bloodstained soil, and two bullets from the crime scene.
Shaktinath Singh was employed as a senior clerk in the Swarnarekha Project.
This is the second tragedy for the Singh family, as Shaktinath’s brother, Amarnath Singh, was also shot dead in Basukinath (Dumka) on July 28, 2023.
Several individuals, including Ganesh Singh, were accused in that case.
Shaktinath was standing near his home when the attack occurred, and the suspects fled the scene.
All the accused were reportedly released from jail before this incident.
Following the FIR, Mango police have begun legal proceedings and have detained two individuals in connection with the case.
