BJP Opposes Economic Empowerment of Women: Dr. Ajoy Kumar

JAMSHEDPUR – Dr. Ajoy Kumar accused BJP of opposing women’s economic empowerment through the Maiya Samman Yojana.

Former MP and senior Congress leader Dr. Ajoy Kumar alleged that BJP is against the economic empowerment of women.

He stated that the BJP is frustrated by the Maiya Samman Yojana, which provides a monthly honorarium of Rs 1,000 to women.

According to Dr. Ajoy Kumar, the BJP conspired to file a public interest litigation in Ranchi High Court against the scheme.

He also mentioned that the BJP previously lodged a complaint with the NGT to demolish the homes of the poor.

Dr. Ajoy Kumar highlighted that the BJP is uncomfortable with the success of the Maiya Samman Yojana and has opposed it, labeling it as an election issue.

He further stated that within just 15 days, 4.5 million women registered under the scheme, and 4.2 million have already received the amount.

Dr. Ajoy Kumar criticized the BJP, claiming they do not want half of Jharkhand’s population, i.e., women, to be economically strong.

“BJP is only interested in power; they have no concern for the public’s welfare,” he said.

He added that BJP leader Arjun Munda’s previous complaint to the NGT also shows the party’s anti-poor stance.
