In a bid for a cleaner, congestion-free city, Jamshedpur’s Notified Area Committee and District Administration take down illegal structures in Sonari.
JAMSHEDPUR – As part of their ongoing crackdown against illegal encroachments, the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee and District Administration carried out a rigorous drive on Wednesday.
The mission focused on the Gwala Basti North area under the Sonari police station, where multiple unauthorized shops and structures were methodically demolished.

To ensure the smooth progress of the operation, a large police force was deployed on-site. During the operation, approximately 10-12 illegal shops were razed to the ground, marking a significant stride in the city’s quest for cleanliness and decongestion.

According to Santoshi Murmu, the Magistrate posted at the site, the zonal administration had issued multiple notices to remove the illegal encroachments.
However, non-compliance led to the enforcement of this action. The operation was carefully executed, ensuring no residential properties were damaged.

She said that this initiative by the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee and District Administration would continue even in future as the administration is committed to ensuring a clean and jam-free environment in the city.
