JAMSHEDPUR – The Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya at Marine Drive, Jamshedpur, will host a one-day poetry and artists’ conference on December 8. The event will bring together prominent poets and artists not only from Jamshedpur but also from the wider Kolhan region.

Poets and writers have historically played a critical role during periods of societal transformation. Their work serves as both a reflection of societal realities and a guide for change. Keeping this in mind, the Brahma Kumaris have planned a two-part program. A poetry conference will be held in the first session, while the second session will feature a grand artists’ meet.

The Brahma Kumaris, founded in 1937 in Hyderabad, Sindh, have expanded globally to over 110 countries. The organization is known for promoting spirituality, peace, and personal growth through various cultural and educational activities.

On the other hand, this event also highlights the organization’s focus on art and literature as tools for societal progress. Local artists are expected to share their creative expressions, while poets will present thought-provoking verses to inspire attendees.

A representative from the event shared, “The conference is not just about art; it’s about bringing communities together and emphasizing the power of creative voices in shaping a better society.”

Moreover, the event aims to foster cultural unity and inspire youth participation in artistic endeavors.
