First Block Closure at Tata Cummins’ Jamshedpur Plant
Tata Cummins’ Jamshedpur plant undergoes its first block closure from December 27 to 29, with plans for partial production resumption following a flexible off.
JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Cummins’ Jamshedpur plant has initiated its first-ever block closure, scheduled from December 27 to 29.
This significant decision was announced in a circular by plant head Ramphal Nehra.
During this period, employees will be compensated with 50% of their salary, while the management will bear the remaining half of the expenses.
A flexible off has been planned for December 30, leading to a partial resumption of the plant’s production activities.
Full operations at the plant are expected to restart from January 1, 2024, following the Sunday break.
This block closure marks a notable event for Tata Cummins in Jamshedpur, reflecting the company’s adaptive operational strategies in response to varying business requirements.
