SERAIKELA – Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren transferred ₹57.38 crore to women in Seraikela.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren visited Seraikela on Wednesday, where he transferred ₹57 crore 38 lakh 99 thousand to the bank accounts of women aged 21 to 50 years across three districts under the “Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiyan Samman Yojana.”

In this scheme’s first phase, East Singhbhum district saw ₹24 crore 77 lakh 28 thousand transferred to 2,47,728 beneficiaries, West Singhbhum received ₹18 crore 23 lakh 36 thousand for 1,82,336 beneficiaries, and Seraikela-Kharsawan district had ₹14 crore 38 lakh 35 thousand disbursed to 1,43,835 beneficiaries.

Thousands of beneficiaries and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) workers from the three districts attended the event.

During the event, BJP leader Basco Besra met with CM Hemant Soren, describing the interaction as a "courtesy meeting."

Political analysts are interpreting this meeting in various ways, noting that Basco Besra has a reputation for shifting political stances.

Following former Chief Minister Champai Soren’s decision to join the BJP, Besra is now eyeing the Seraikela seat.

Observers are keen to see what political developments may result from this meeting.
