24th Jharkhand State Yogasana Championship Begins in Jamshedpur
400-500 participants compete for national spots in two-day event
The 24th Jharkhand State Yogasana Sports Championship 2024 kicks off at Motilal Nehru Public School auditorium.
JAMSHEDPUR – The 24th Jharkhand State Yogasana Sports Championship 2024 commenced Sunday at Motilal Nehru Public School auditorium.
The two-day event, running August 25-26, is organized by Purvi Singhbhum District Yoga Association, Tata Steel, and UP Sangh.
Participants from various Jharkhand districts are competing to secure spots in the national competition.
Dr. D. P. Shukla, as Chief Guest, jointly inaugurated the event with other dignitaries.
Between 400-500 participants are showcasing their talents across different age categories.
Age groups include 14-16, 16-18, and senior categories ranging from 30-35, 35-40, and above 45.
Winners will be announced during the prize distribution and closing ceremony on August 26.
The championship highlights the growing popularity of yoga as a competitive sport in Jharkhand.
Pappu Shukla, Organizing Secretary and General Secretary of Purvi Singhbhum District Yoga Association, provided event details.
The event demonstrates collaboration between local organizations and corporations in promoting yoga.
This championship serves as a platform for talented yogis to progress to national-level competitions.
