JAMSHEDPUR – With assembly elections scheduled for Wednesday, polling teams with voting materials, including EVMs and VVPATs, have been dispatched from Seraikela’s NR Government School for Kharsawan and from Kashi Sahu College for Seraikela and Ichagarh constituencies.
These centers have ensured that officials are equipped to conduct peaceful and fair elections.
In total, 1055 polling stations have been established across the three assembly seats—342 for Ichagarh, 431 for Seraikela, and 282 for Kharsawan. The voting population stands at 8,85,062, comprising 4,40,501 male voters, 4,44,552 female voters, and 9 others. Ichagarh has 2,88,793 voters, Seraikela has 3,69,195, and Kharsawan has 2,27,074 registered voters.
A total of 44 candidates are contesting: 23 from Ichagarh, 13 from Seraikela, and 8 from Kharsawan. Voters in these constituencies will decide their future representatives as the assembly election process unfolds.
