SSB Odisha Announces Recruitment for 555 Post Graduate Teacher Vacancies

SSB Odisha started the online registration for 555 Post Graduate Teacher vacancies on 20th June 2023, last date to apply 25th July 2023.

CAREER DESK – In an announcement by Staff Selection Board (SSB), Higher Education Department, Government of Odisha, Bhubaneswar, they have invited online applications for the recruitment of 555 Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) on Direct payment posts.

The SSB Odisha Teacher Recruitment 2023 online registration will commence from 20th June 2023 and continue till 25th July 2023.

Details of the Vacancies

The vacancies pertain to the role of Post Graduate Teachers across various subjects including Anthropology, Botany, Chemistry, Commerce, Economics, Education, English, Geography, Geology, Hindi, History, Home Science, IRPM, Logic and Philosophy, Mathematics, Odia, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sanskrit, Sociology, Statistics, Telugu Urdu, and Zoology.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be between 21 and 38 years old as of 1st January 2023, implying they must have been born no earlier than 2nd January, 1985 and not later than 1st January, 2002. Age Relaxation applies up to 5 years for SC, ST, SEBC, Women and Ex-servicemen, and 10 years for PwD.

As for educational qualifications, the candidates should have a Master’s Degree (Post Graduate) in the concerned subject from a recognized University or integrated six years Post Graduate Master’s course from Regional College of Education recognized by NCERT with at least 55% marks.

Furthermore, they must have acquired B.Ed. or equivalent Degree recognized by National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi."

Salary and Selection Process

The pay scale for the Post Graduate Teacher is ₹ 44,900 – 1,42,400/- as per Pay Matrix of Level 10 and Cell 1. The selection process includes a Written Test worth 150 Marks and a Career Assessment for 50 Marks, making a total of 200 Marks."

Application Process and Important Dates

Application fees are ₹ 500/- for Un-Reserved / SEBC Category and ₹ 200/- for SC / ST / PwD Category, payable online. Candidates must apply online through the State Selection Board (SSB) Odisha Official website, with the last date for registration being 25/07/2023 up to 11:45 PM.
