The Tatanagar-Jaynagar Weekly Express will begin halting at Bokaro Steel City station starting August 23, 2024, following approval by South Eastern Railway.
JAMSHEDPUR – In response to the demand raised by Arun Kumar Joshi, Zonal Member of South Eastern Railway, Kolkata, the Tatanagar-Jaynagar Weekly Express will now halt at Bokaro Steel City station, starting August 23, 2024.
The approval was confirmed by railway authorities, who have decided that Train No. 18119/20 will have its stoppage at Bokaro Steel City (BKSC) station.
This move is expected to benefit the large population of Bokaro and the surrounding areas who rely on this train service for their daily commute and other travel needs.
Arun Kumar Joshi, who had written to the General Manager of South Eastern Railway in Kolkata, expressed his gratitude to the railway authorities for considering the request and implementing the stoppage.
He also thanked the residents of Bokaro who urged him to raise this demand with the railway officials.
The stoppage at Bokaro Steel City will be implemented from August 23, 2024, and is expected to provide significant relief to the passengers traveling to and from Bokaro.
Arun Joshi welcomed the decision, stating that this would benefit thousands of passengers, especially those living in Bokaro and nearby areas.
