Soren Launches Maiyan Welfare Scheme, Slams BJP Amid Political Rumors

CM transfers Rs 1000 to 81,000 women under new initiative; vows to defeat BJP in elections

Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren launched a welfare scheme and criticized BJP’s alleged destabilization attempts at public meetings.

RANCHI – Chief Minister Hemant Soren addressed rallies in Godda and Pakur, launching a welfare scheme Maiyan Samman Yojana and criticizing BJP amid political rumors.

At a public gathering in Pakur, Chief Minister Hemant Soren unveiled the Jharkhand Chief Minister Maiyan Samman Yojna.

The scheme facilitated the transfer of Rs 1000 to 81,000 women’s accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Soren used the platform to lambast the BJP, accusing them of persistent attempts to undermine his government since 2019.

He emphasized the resilience of his administration, which is part of the INDI Alliance, in the face of these alleged destabilization efforts.

The Chief Minister highlighted the challenges faced by his government, including the loss of three ministers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Despite the obstacles, our commitment to serving the people of Jharkhand remains unwavering," Soren declared.

In a bold statement, he accused the BJP of manipulating the Election Commission.

Soren expressed confidence in his party’s ability to defeat the BJP in the upcoming elections.

"The election bell has rung today, and tomorrow we will decisively defeat them," the Chief Minister asserted.

These public meetings took place against the backdrop of rumors suggesting former CM Champai Soren might join the BJP.

Local political analyst Ravi Kumar commented, "The Chief Minister’s aggressive stance and the launch of this welfare scheme appear to be strategic moves to counter the opposition and strengthen his political position."
