Horticultural Society announces garden establishment, backed by Tata Steel

The Horticultural Society of Jamshedpur reveals plans for the Dorabji Rose Garden, a new green space near Mody Park, during its annual meeting.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Horticultural Society of Jamshedpur (HSJ) has announced the creation of the Dorabji Rose Garden near Mody Park, a project supported by land donations from Tata Steel Limited and Tata Steel UISL.

Baren Maity and Aswani Srivastava presented the garden’s progress report and layout during HSJ’s 8th Annual General Meeting at the SNTI Auditorium.

The garden will showcase diverse rose species and provide a peaceful environment for visitors.

This initiative is part of HSJ’s broader "Green Revolution" efforts in Jamshedpur.

The project aims to enhance the city’s reputation as a center for horticultural excellence.

HSJ’s plans include organizing the 41st All India Rose Convention cum Rose Show and the 34th Annual Flower Show.

The society will also host various competitions, workshops, and events to encourage community involvement in environmental conservation.

HSJ expressed gratitude to Tata Steel and TSUISL for their crucial support in this endeavor.

The Dorabji Rose Garden is expected to become a significant attraction for residents and tourists alike.

This collaboration highlights Tata Steel’s ongoing commitment to enhancing Jamshedpur’s green spaces.
