Public Well’s Condition in Cable Harijan Basti Raises Health Concerns
The critical state of a public well in Cable Harijan Basti, Golmuri, has drawn attention to the community’s growing concerns, leading to an urgent call for action to address the health hazards posed by its current condition.
JAMSHEDPUR – Spearheaded by Chintu Singh, founder of Sanatan Utsav Samiti, a delegation met with Jamshedpur NAC Special Officer Krishna Kumar on Monday, delivering a memorandum that underscores the immediate need for cleaning the well.
This plea highlights the well’s deterioration due to prolonged exposure to filth and garbage, compromising its role as a vital water source for the locality, especially for laundry purposes.
The community’s reliance on this decades-old well underscores the urgency of the situation, as its contamination threatens the health and safety of its users.
The delegation, including members Ankit Anand, Appu Tiwari, Naveen Tiwari, Chintu Singh, Veer Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Lalit Rao, Sujal Kumar, Rahul Durge, Sunny Singh, Suraj Kumar, and Rohit, has called upon the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee to take swift action in restoring the well’s cleanliness and functionality.
