JUSCO School South Park’s Annual Sports Day Witnesses Impressive Athletic Feats
JUSCO School South Park (JSSP) recently celebrated its 19th Annual Sports Day, a showcase of student athleticism and sportsmanship.
JAMSHEDPUR – JUSCO School South Park (JSSP) recently hosted its 19th Annual Sports Day for Senior School students at the JUSCO School Science Park ground.
This event saw the participation of around 1000 students from Std IV to XII, competing in a variety of track events and drills.
Hemant Gupta, Head of Adventure Programme and Sports Academies at Tata Steel, graced the event as Chief Guest, emphasizing the importance of daily sports activities.
A.F. Madon, Administrator of the JEM Foundation, also attended as a distinguished guest.
School Principal Mili Sinha expressed gratitude to parents, staff, and students for their contributions to the event’s success.
The sports day commenced with a procession by students from Std IX & XI, representing the school’s five houses, symbolizing the Panch Tatva elements.
Grades IV to VI students performed vibrant drill displays, adding to the event’s festive atmosphere.
Exciting races for Std IV to XII students were a highlight, showcasing impressive athleticism and sportsmanship.
Fun races for younger students and competitive track events for older ones displayed their dedication to sports.
Chief Guest Hemant Gupta honored achievers in sports like Cricket, Taekwondo, Archery, Yoga, Table Tennis, and Chess.
Vayu House triumphed as the overall champion, while Agni House won the Best March Past trophy for their exceptional performance.
Top individual performers included Aditya Kumar Singh, Sweta Kumari, Nikhil Mittal, Babalpreet Kaur, Ritika Kundu, Rajveer Mahato, and Palak Kumari, excelling in their respective categories.
This annual sports day not only celebrated athletic achievements but also highlighted the importance of sports in developing teamwork, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle among students.
