Charan Brings Extensive Experience from Previous Key Positions

Om Prakash Charan has been appointed the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of South Eastern Railway, effective June 7.

JAMSHEDPUR – Om Prakash Charan has been appointed as the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of South Eastern Railway, starting from June 7.

Previously, Charan served as the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager at Kharagpur.

A member of the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) 2013 batch, Om Prakash Charan holds an M.A. Degree in Political Science from Jai Narayan Vyas University, Jodhpur.

Throughout his career in the railway sector, Charan has held several key positions, including Senior Divisional Commercial Manager in Kharagpur and Adra, Senior Divisional Operations Manager in Chakradharpur, and Area Manager in Tatanagar.

In addition to his professional roles, Charan has shown a keen interest in sports and socio-cultural activities.

His appointment is expected to bring new perspectives and initiatives to South Eastern Railway’s public relations efforts.
