South Eastern Railway Announces Train Service Changes

Development Works in Chakradharpur Division Prompt Cancellations and Route Alterations

Passengers advised to check schedules as multiple trains affected on July 3, 2024.

JAMSHEDPUR – The South Eastern Railway has issued a notification detailing significant changes to train services in the Chakradharpur Division for July 3, 2024, due to ongoing development works.

"These temporary adjustments are necessary to facilitate crucial infrastructure improvements," stated a railway spokesperson.

Cancelled Services

The following trains will not operate on July 3:

1. Tatanagar-Hatia-Tatanagar Express (18601/18602)

2. Jhargram-Purulia-Jhargram MEMU Special (08698/08697)

3. Tatanagar-Barkakana-Tatanagar Passenger Special (08151/08152)

4. Tatanagar-Gua-Tatanagar MEMU Special (08133/08134)

Route Modifications

Two trains will see changes to their usual routes:

  • Dhanbad-Tatanagar-Dhanbad Express (13301/13302): Short terminated at and originated from Adra.

  • Asansol-Tatanagar-Asansol MEMU Special (08173/08174): Short terminated at and originated from Purulia.

"Passengers are advised to check updated schedules before their planned travel date," the spokesperson added.
