Security forces dismantle Naxalite strongholds in West Singhbhum, recover weapons and IEDs in major operation.

CHAIBASA – Security forces have struck a significant blow against CPI Maoists in West Singhbhum district, Jharkhand.

In a focused operation, three Naxalite bunkers and a rescue house were demolished in the Goilkera and Tonto police station areas.

A 5 kg IED explosive, found during the operation, was safely neutralized on the spot.

This action is part of an ongoing joint campaign by District Police and CRPF since October 10.

The forces are targeting Naxalite presence in dense forest areas around Kuida, Maradiri, Meralgada, Hathiburu, Tilayabeda, Katamba, Baihatu, Huspi, Rajabasa, Tumbahaka, Rengada, Patatarob, and Ruiya.

On November 25 and 26, security forces successfully located and destroyed IEDs in the Rajabasa forest area, aimed at targeting them.

In addition to demolishing bunkers and hideouts in Tilaibeda and near Rajabasa, various items were seized from Naxalite camps.

The recovered items include SLR parts, BGL pieces, AK-47 cases, medical supplies, and other materials.

These developments represent a significant step in the ongoing efforts to curb Naxalite activities in the region.
