YUVA Organizes Exposure Visit for Rural Women in Jamshedpur
Rural women learn about DLSA’s initiatives in legal aid.
Jamshedpur: Under the Comic Relief program run by the social organization Youth Unity for Voluntary Action (YUVA), young girls and women from Potka block visited the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) office to learn about legal aid processes.
JAMSHEDPUR – The social organization Youth Unity for Voluntary Action (YUVA) organized an exposure visit to the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) office under its Comic Relief program for young girls and women from Potka block.
Project Coordinator Anjana Devgam welcomed the DLSA officials and explained the visit’s purpose to the participants.
DLSA Secretary Rajendra Kumar informed the attendees that legal aid ensures everyone’s access to justice and emphasized the importance of knowing one’s rights and raising their voice against violence and exploitation.
Advocate Rajesh Das highlighted that the primary aim of DLSA is to assist the weaker sections in obtaining justice, and he provided detailed information about the helpline number 15100.
Advocate Vijay Kumar Gupta mentioned that legal aid camps are organized in villages to spread awareness about legal rights and aid among the community.
Advocate Preeti Murmu explained the process of obtaining legal aid, stating that free legal assistance is available for any type of case.
The event was made successful with the support of YUVA members.
