Traffic Chaos Paralyzes Karandih Chowk in Jamshedpur

Ambulance, train passengers among those affected by major congestion

A severe traffic jam at Karandih Chowk in Jamshedpur disrupted vehicle movement and caused significant delays for commuters.

JAMSHEDPUR – A massive traffic jam at Karandih Chowk on Monday brought vehicle movement to a standstill, affecting emergency services and commuters alike.

The congestion occurred at 11:45 am, causing gridlock from all directions at the intersection.

Pedestrians and motorists struggled to navigate through the heavily congested area.

An ambulance from Sundernagar was caught in the jam for an extended period, potentially delaying emergency medical care.

Some travelers, desperate to catch their trains, abandoned their vehicles and proceeded on foot with their luggage.

Jugsalai Traffic Police Station officers arrived at the scene after receiving reports of the jam.

The police worked to clear the congestion and restore traffic flow.

Intermittent rain added to the discomfort of those stuck in the gridlock.

Shops set up on the footpath at Karandih Chowk contributed to the traffic chaos.

Vehicles of shoppers parked on the road further exacerbated the congestion.

The convergence of roads from Ghaghidih and Parsudih Pramathanagar at the Chowk intensified the traffic problem.

Vehicles entering the square from these directions added to the gridlock.

This incident highlights the recurring traffic issues at Karandih Chowk, which has become a notorious spot for severe congestion.

Local authorities may need to consider long-term solutions to address the persistent traffic problems at this intersection.
