JAMSHEDPUR – A cultural event marked Bengali New Year as Milani honored a foundation and individual for humanitarian service.

The historic institution Milani organized a special event in Jamshedpur to celebrate the Bengali New Year. Meanwhile, the program featured a musical performance by an artist visiting from Kolkata.

Moreover, the event aimed to promote cultural engagement and social recognition. It also highlighted contributions of organizations working for public welfare.

The foundation Prateek Sangharsh Foundation received the Humanity First Award. Meanwhile, Mousumi Bhattacharya was presented with the Heart of Gold Award.

Moreover, the recognition acknowledged decades of humanitarian efforts by the foundation. It has consistently worked in areas like healthcare, food support, and rural welfare.

The organization has conducted major blood donation campaigns over the years. Meanwhile, it has also carried out SDP blood donation drives regularly.

In addition, the foundation provides daily meals to nearly 200 people. This initiative has continued consistently for over 15 years.

Moreover, it has constructed toilets in remote villages for sanitation. It has also organized health camps for tribal and Sabar communities.

In contrast, the foundation has also focused on education for underprivileged groups. Its activities are centered on grassroots-level social upliftment.

The awards were presented by social worker Shekhar Dey. He is also associated with Shreeleathers in Bistupur and serves as Milani’s president.

Meanwhile, several members of the foundation attended the event. These included director Arijit Sarkar and team members like Kumares Hazra and Uttam Kumar Gorai.

Moreover, Ravi Shankar and Shubhendu Mukherjee were also present on stage. They participated in receiving the recognition.

After receiving the honor, Arijit Sarkar addressed the gathering. He dedicated the award to the entire foundation team.

He also expressed gratitude towards Milani for the recognition. The foundation reaffirmed its commitment to continued social service.
