Three Mobile Thieves Arrested, Seven Phones Recovered

Police Nab Trio in Chaibasa Crackdown Operation

JAMSHEDPUR – Police in Chaibasa arrested three suspects and recovered seven stolen mobile phones following a targeted operation.

Police officials said the arrests were made after receiving secret inputs. A special team was formed to act quickly.

Meanwhile, the team intercepted three suspects near Gitilipi Mor. They were riding a Bullet motorcycle during the operation.

However, officers stopped the vehicle and conducted a search immediately. Seven Android mobile phones were recovered from their possession.

The arrested accused were identified as Aman Nishad and Surendra Sundi. The third accused was Himanshu Pingua.

Moreover, all three suspects confessed during police questioning. They admitted involvement in recent theft incidents.

According to police, the thefts occurred two days earlier. The crimes were reported in Jhinkpani police station areas.

Meanwhile, the accused entered houses at night to steal mobile phones. They targeted homes in Raghunathpur and Ichapur villages.

However, they were planning to sell the stolen phones cheaply. Police acted before the plan could be executed.

Officials revealed Aman Nishad has a criminal history. He was released from jail on March 25, 2026.

In contrast, Himanshu Pingua also has past criminal records. Police confirmed both were known offenders.

Moreover, all three accused admitted their role in the case. Further investigation is currently underway.

The operation was led by SDPO Bahaman Tuti. Officers from Chaibasa Mufassil police station were part of the team.

Police said efforts are ongoing to curb rising theft cases. More arrests may follow in related incidents.
