Champai Soren Increases Subsidy, Aiming to Ease Electricity Bills

Chief Minister Champai Soren’s recent subsidy increase marks a significant step towards alleviating electricity costs for Jharkhand’s underprivileged.

CHAIBASA – In a move celebrated by the District Congress Committee, Chief Minister Champai Soren has announced an uplift in electricity subsidies, now extending up to 125 units.

The decision, aimed at easing the financial burden of electricity bills on the rural poor, was applauded during a meeting led by District President Chandrashekhar Das at Congress Bhawan, Chaibasa.

Previously, the subsidy provided to electricity consumers covered 100 units; the enhancement is expected to significantly benefit the common rural populace.

The District Congress Committee’s meeting also focused on addressing issues faced by consumers with pending electricity bill cases, planning to seek resolution through dialogue with the Chief Minister.

Leadership figures including Congress District President Chandrashekhar Das and other key members expressed their gratitude towards CM Soren’s initiative for its potential to mitigate inflation pressures.

This initiative by CM Soren is seen as a notable effort to support the financially weaker sections amidst rising living costs.

The District Congress Committee has voiced a strong commitment to work closely with the Chief Minister to further aid those burdened by electricity costs.

The rural community’s positive response to the subsidy increase reflects widespread approval of the Chief Minister’s approach to alleviating economic stress on poor electricity consumers.
