Girl Falls While Fleeing Wild Elephants Near Airstrip

JAMSHEDPUR – A schoolgirl was injured after falling while fleeing from wild elephants near Chakulia airstrip.

The incident occurred on Tuesday morning in Chakulia area. A student narrowly escaped a dangerous encounter.

Meanwhile, the girl was identified as Sukul Soren from Machadih village. She was heading to Manohar Lal +2 High School.

However, she was traveling on a bicycle around 6 a.m. She reached near the airstrip when danger appeared.

Suddenly, two large wild elephants came सामने on the الطريق. The sight caused panic immediately.

Consequently, she abandoned her bicycle and ran toward nearby bushes. She attempted to save her life.

During the escape, she slipped and fell on the ground. She sustained injuries on her hand and waist.

Meanwhile, some villagers passing through noticed her हालत. They quickly raised alarm.

Moreover, the villagers shouted loudly to scare the elephants away. Their action forced the animals to retreat.

Afterward, the villagers ensured the girl’s safety. They informed her father, Bajun Soren.

Subsequently, the injured student was rushed to Chakulia Community Health Centre. Doctors provided primary treatment.

However, she was later discharged after medical care. Her condition was reported stable.

Meanwhile, forest officials were informed about the incident. Such घटनाएं are frequent in forest-adjacent areas.

In contrast, authorities have often advised caution in elephant movement zones. Human-wildlife conflict remains a concern in Jharkhand.
