JAMSHEDPUR – A 40-year-old man died after falling from a moving vehicle near Goilkera in Chaibasa.

The incident occurred under Goilkera police station limits on Tuesday morning. The deceased was identified as Santosh Angaria from Boroee village.

According to reports, he was traveling to the market. He sat on the roof of a small passenger vehicle.

Meanwhile, the accident happened around 11 am. He suddenly lost balance and fell from the vehicle.

However, he suffered severe head injuries in the fall. Locals quickly rushed him from the spot.

Moreover, he was taken to Chaibasa Sadar Hospital for treatment. Doctors examined him upon arrival.

However, doctors declared him dead at the hospital. The injury was found to be critical.

Meanwhile, police have initiated further procedures. The body has been kept for postmortem examination.

Moreover, officials said such travel on vehicle roofs is risky. Similar incidents have occurred in rural areas earlier.

Authorities have urged passengers to avoid unsafe travel practices. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
