Rail Panel Submits Memo Over Train Delays

Warning of Protests if Railway Delays Persist

Key Points:

  • Delegation Submits Memo to DRM via ARM Office
  • Committee Warns of Intensified Protest Campaign
  • Passengers Face Delays of Up to Six Hours

JAMSHEDPUR – Rail passenger group submitted a memorandum warning intensified protests over persistent train delays.

A delegation reached the ARM office on Tuesday. It submitted a memorandum addressed to the DRM of Chakradharpur division.

Meanwhile, the move followed rising complaints from daily passengers. The delegation was led by committee convener Shivshankar Singh.

However, Singh warned that delays must end soon. Otherwise, the agitation would intensify in coming days.

Moreover, he said a large signature campaign would begin soon. The campaign aims to mobilize more passengers.

Meanwhile, awareness drives will also be conducted at stations. These efforts will highlight the issue among travelers.

On the other hand, the memorandum questioned freight train prioritization. It raised concerns about infrastructure limitations.

Moreover, it stated passenger trains are halted without valid reasons. Freight trains are often given preference instead.

In contrast, passenger trains follow fixed schedules daily. Freight trains do not operate under strict timetables.

However, the committee questioned the authority behind such decisions. It asked why passenger services are being disrupted.

Meanwhile, the memorandum referred to earlier concerns raised by a Jamshedpur MP. The issue had been communicated to the Railway Minister.

Moreover, improvement instructions were reportedly issued earlier. Yet, officials in Chakradharpur division have not implemented them.

On the other hand, daily reports show severe train delays. Trains are reportedly late by one to six hours regularly.

Meanwhile, this has raised serious concerns about railway functioning. Passengers continue to face inconvenience at stations.

Moreover, a protest was held on April 7 at Tatanagar station. Thousands of passengers had participated in that demonstration.

However, despite the warning, conditions remain unchanged. Train services continue to suffer major disruptions.

Meanwhile, passengers in Jamshedpur still wait for hours daily. Railway operations remain under scrutiny.

The delegation also included Ajay Kumar and Satish Singh. Pradeep Singh Bhojpuriya and Manoj Thakur were present.

Meanwhile, Sunny Parihar, Amit Maity, and Sunny Singh joined them. All demanded urgent corrective action from railway authorities.
