Jamshedpur’s Rahul Shukla Retires from Domestic Cricket

Rahul Shukla, former IPL player, retires from all formats of domestic cricket, focusing now on veteran cricket.

Rahul Shukla, the fast bowler from Jamshedpur who has played for Mumbai Indians, Delhi Daredevils, and Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, has announced his retirement from all formats of domestic cricket.

JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur’s Rahul Shukla, known for his stints with Mumbai Indians, Delhi Daredevils, and Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, has officially retired from all formats of domestic cricket.

The Jharkhand fast bowler has informed the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) in writing about his decision.

Rahul made his first-class debut in 2009 against Tripura in Ranchi.

Over his career, he played 45 first-class matches, taking a total of 119 wickets, with his best bowling figures being 7/106.

In List A cricket, Rahul played 76 matches and took 127 wickets, with a best performance of 6/33.

In T20 cricket, he appeared in 64 matches, claiming 75 wickets, with his best figures being 5/36.

Rahul’s last first-class match was in January this year against Maharashtra in Pune.

Earlier this year, Saurabh Tiwary and Shahbaz Nadeem also announced their retirement from all formats of cricket, while Varun Aaron retired from red-ball cricket.

Last season, Ishank Jaggi also bid farewell to cricket.

With these retirements, Jharkhand will now need to find suitable replacements for these experienced players.
