Tata Steel Karate Training Centre Shines at CISCE Regional Karate Championship
Team Wins Seven Medals, Secures Spots for National Championship
The CISCE Regional Karate Championship-2024, held at Don Bosco Academy in Digha, Patna, Bihar, witnessed outstanding performances by the Tata Steel Karate Training Centre team from Jamshedpur. The team won a total of seven medals, including four gold and three silver.
JAMSHEDPUR – The team from the Tata Steel Karate Training Centre in Jamshedpur showcased exceptional performances at the CISCE Regional Karate Championship-2024, which took place at Don Bosco Academy in Digha, Patna, Bihar.
The team won a total of seven medals, including four gold medals and three silver medals.
Simran Kumari, Sagar Kumar, Naivdya Pandey, and Yash Kumar all won gold medals in the Kumite category of the Under-19 division.
They have earned these victories, which have led to their selections for the National Championship.
In addition, Ivjot Singh earned a silver medal in the Under-17 category, while Yashasvi Yadav and Vinay Gorai both received silver medals in the Under-14 category.
Sensei Niraj Kumar, who is the coach of the Tata Steel Karate Training Centre, had the honor of being a judge and referee during the championship. The event showcased the skills of more than 200 karatekas from Jharkhand and Bihar.
The team was also awarded a trophy for their exceptional performance in the Under-19 category.
The athletes were congratulated by the Jharkhand Goju Ryu Karate Do Association for their outstanding performance.
