A high-level meeting addressed crucial MSME concerns in Jharkhand, with officials pledging prompt resolution of industrial area problems.
JAMSHEDPUR – A significant Department of Industries meeting in Ranchi addressed pressing MSME challenges, with officials promising swift action on industrial area issues.
The gathering at Project Bhawan auditorium was chaired by C.S.L. Das, Secretary of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India.
Attendees included the Jharkhand Director of Industries and representatives from various organizations, including the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).
SCCI representatives Puneet Kauntia and Vinod Sharma presented a memorandum outlining critical issues faced by MSME industries.
The document highlighted problems in the Adityapur industrial area, such as poor road conditions, inadequate street lighting, and non-functional sewerage systems.
"What the MSMEs required were basic facilities and not big dreams," the memorandum emphasized, focusing on practical needs.
Key points raised included improving or abolishing the Delegation of Powers (DOP) process and providing land for MSME industries without e-bidding.
The SCCI also called for the elimination of JIADA fees on small works and better security measures to control theft and robbery in industrial areas.
Establishing an MSME Facilitation Center in Jamshedpur or Adityapur was another crucial demand presented in the meeting.
C.S.L. Das acknowledged these issues as serious concerns and instructed local officials to address them promptly.
This meeting, the first of its kind in several years, has raised hopes among Chamber officials for resolving longstanding problems and enhancing business opportunities.
The engagement between industry representatives and government officials marks a potential turning point for MSME development in the region.
