Speeding Bolero Hits Roadside Bike On NH-2, Mother And Daughter Among Victims

Accident occurred near Madaidih under Topchachi police station on Saturday morning.

DHANBAD – A tragic accident on National Highway-2 near Madaidih claimed three lives and left five injured when a Bolero collided with a stationary motorcycle on Saturday morning.

"The incident occurred around 10 am, with two victims dying on the spot," stated a police officer from Topchachi police station.

Details of the accident include:

– Mother and daughter on bike died instantly

– Third victim, a woman in the Bolero, succumbed en route to hospital

– Bike was parked on roadside when struck from behind

– Speeding Bolero overturned after impact, injuring four occupants

The victims were traveling from Saria in Giridih district to Katras in Dhanbad.

"The Bolero bore a Maharashtra registration and was heading towards Kolkata," the officer added.

Dr. Ashutosh Kumar Singh of Topchachi Community Health Centre has confirmed two on-site fatalities and one brought dead.

Injured individuals have been referred to a medical college hospital for treatment.

This incident highlights the ongoing safety concerns on national highways in the region.

Local authorities are investigating the cause of the accident and potential safety measures.
