Seraikela DM Ravi Shankar Shukla Holds Review Meeting on Welfare Schemes

Key welfare schemes and initiatives discussed in detail.

Officials directed to ensure timely execution and beneficiary registration.

SERAIKELA – A review meeting on various welfare schemes was conducted under the chairmanship of District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla.

The meeting, held at the Collectorate’s conference hall, was attended by Deputy Development Commissioner and ITDA Project Director Prabhat Kumar Bartiyar, trainee IAS Kumar Rajat, District Welfare Officer, District Education Officer, various block welfare officers, block education extension officers, and other concerned officials.

In the meeting, the DM reviewed schemes such as Pre/Post Matric Scholarship, Minority Scholarship Scheme, Chief Minister Employment Generation Scheme, Chief Minister Health Assistance Scheme, Chief Minister Livestock Development Scheme, PVTG Village Upliftment Scheme, Dumkadia Building Construction Scheme, Minority Cemetery Fencing, Sarna, Masna, and Hadgadi, among others.

The DM first reviewed the scholarship schemes, emphasizing the prompt resolution of pending cases and ensuring 100% registration of eligible candidates at the block level.

He assigned accountability to Block Development Officers, Block Education Extension Officers, Block Welfare Officers, and the principals of the concerned schools and colleges to ensure this.

During the review of the Chief Minister Employment Generation Scheme, the DM instructed that no application should remain pending at the district level.

For the Chief Minister Health Assistance Scheme, he directed that all needy individuals should be provided with the benefits of the scheme.

Reviewing the Chief Minister Livestock Development Scheme, the DM instructed the prompt distribution of animals to the selected beneficiaries for the years 2021-22 and 2022-23, and to stay in contact with the state-selected supply agency, reporting any negligence in their work to the department in writing.

During the meeting, the DM also provided necessary and appropriate directives to the officials regarding other schemes operated by the welfare department.

He instructed the District Welfare Officer to ensure extensive publicity of the schemes through various means and to conduct regular reviews at the block level to complete pending tasks and schemes on time.
