District Initiates ESCROW Accounts For Livestock Development Scheme

666 Accounts Opened In Two Days To Expedite Benefits To Rural Farmers

DM Ananya Mittal urges departments to meet targets promptly as interest in animal husbandry grows.

JAMSHEDPUR – The local government has introduced a new initiative to set up ESCROW accounts for the beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Pashudhan Vikas Yojana.

"According to a district official, we have opened a total of 666 accounts in just two days, spread across different departments," the report stated.

The Welfare Department helped open 44 accounts, while Dairy Development opened 67.

The Animal Husbandry Department reported that they had 555 new accounts.

Ananya Mittal, the District Magistrate, highlighted the increasing interest in livestock as a viable source of income.

"According to DC, this scheme brings together different livestock development initiatives onto one platform," he explained.

We provided clear instructions to the animal suppliers to distribute and insure the animals as soon as the account was opened.

The goal of this initiative is to make it easier for rural farmers and animal husbandry workers to receive their benefits.

By taking an integrated approach, we hope to promote sustainable development in the livestock sector.

The quick account opening demonstrates the administration’s dedication to implementing schemes efficiently.
