Fraudsters Steal Gold Chain Worth Rs. 90,000, Police Begin Investigation

A woman from Kalpanapuri in Adityapur has fallen victim to fraudsters who stole her gold chain by tricking her.

JAMSHEDPUR – A woman named Deepshikha from Kalpanapuri, Adityapur, reported to the police that she was duped by two men who stole her gold chain.

The incident occurred around 11 AM on Saturday.

Two young men arrived at her home, claiming to clean tiles.

One of the men offered to clean brass utensils using a special powder. He then suggested cleaning gold and silver jewelry, convincing Deepshikha to hand over her gold chain with a locket for cleaning.

The man placed the chain in a pouch and instructed her to open it after some time.

When she opened it, the chain was missing.

The stolen chain is valued at approximately Rs. 90,000.

The woman reported that the men’s faces were captured on CCTV, and she has provided the footage to the police.

The police have begun investigating the case based on her complaint.

The incident highlights the need for vigilance and caution against such fraudulent activities.
