Hill Top School Hosts Inaugural ARTWAVE Event

Young Artists Shine at Inter-School Art Fest in Jamshedpur

Hill Top School proudly hosted the first edition of ARTWAVE, an inter-school art event that celebrated the creative talents of young artists in the city.

JAMSHEDPUR – The first ever ARTWAVE event took place at Hill Top School, where it beautifully displayed the artistic abilities of students from all over the city. The event highlighted how artistic expression can bring people together and enhance their lives.

The event brought together 150 participants from 23 different schools. Some of the schools that participated include ADLS Sunshine School, Baridih High School, Church School Beldih, D.B.M.S Kadma High School, Gulmohur High School, Hill Top School, J H Tarapore School, JUSCO School South Park, JUSCO School Kadma, Little Flower School, Loyola School Telco, Narbheram Hansraj English School, R V S Academy, Rajendra Vidyalaya, River View English School, R M S High School, R M S High School Balichela, S K Public School Telco, Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, St. Mary’s English High School, Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vivek Vidyalaya, and Xavier School Gamharia.

There were a total of nine competitions held. These included Expressions, where participants showcased their pencil shading skills. Palette Passion focused on drawing and painting. Colourful Canopies involved painting umbrellas. Vivid Vessels centered around pot painting. Brushstrokes allowed participants to showcase their painting skills on canvas or board. Prismatic Perspectives focused on glass painting. Mural Marvels involved painting on walls. Masked Masterpiece centered around Chau mask painting. Lastly, Vibrant Veils focused on painting duppatas.

The competitions were judged by six well-known local artists: Ekta Jaiswal, Sujata Roy, Vijay Varan Sahu, Subodh Pandey, Nagesh Choudhury, and Sujata Roy.

Vivek Vidyalaya was declared the overall champion of ARTWAVE 2024, with Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya coming in as the first runner-up.

Sharat Chandran, who was attending the event as a guest, said, "I am truly inspired by the creativity and dedication of these young artists." This event emphasizes how art plays a crucial role in education and bringing communities together.

The ARTWAVE event was a huge success, highlighting the incredible skills of young artists and emphasizing the importance of artistic pursuits in education.
