Jamshedpur court postpones proceedings in 2017 lynching case, warns of arrest warrants for future absentees.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur court’s hearing of the notorious Nagadih mob lynching case faced a setback on Tuesday.
Four accused individuals failed to appear before ADJ-1 Vimlesh Kumar Sahay’s court, hindering the recording of statements under Section 313.
The court has rescheduled the hearing for July 6, issuing a stern warning to all defendants.
Judge Sahay emphasized that arrest warrants would be issued for any accused absent on the next date.

Victims Vikas Verma, Gautam Verma, their grandmother Ramsakhi Devi, and associate Gangesh Gupta were beaten to death on suspicions of child theft.
The lynching occurred despite police presence, with the mob attacking even the police vehicle.
Uttam Verma, brother of the deceased, provided crucial testimony leading to the FIR at Bagbera police station.

Some suspects remain at large, complicating the legal proceedings.
