T V Narendran to deliver Shiksha Aarambh Vyakhyan 2021 for IRMA incoming batch

Desk: Mr. T. V. Narendran, CEO & Managing Director, Tata Steel Limited will deliver the Shiksha Aarambh Vyakhyan 2021 at IRMA, Anand on 4th August 2021.

The Shiksha Aarambh Vyakhyan is the commencement address for the incoming batch of the PGDM (RM) at IRMA.

It is delivered every year by an eminent personality to inspire the young minds entering the programme.

It would be available live on IRMA’s official YouTube Channel.

As the CEO & MD, T V Narendran has overseen the organic and inorganic growth of Tata Steel over the last few years. This includes the Kalinganagar greenfield expansion and the acquisition of Bhushan steel and the steel business of Usha Martin. He has over 32 years of experience in the Mining and Metals industry.

Mr. Narendran is currently on the Board of Tata Steel Limited. He is the Chairman of Tata Steel Europe, Tata Steel BSL Limited and Tata Steel Long Products Limited.

He is also the Chairman of the Board of Governors of XLRI Jamshedpur. He is a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of the World Steel Association. He was the co-chair of the Mining & Metals Governors Council of the World Economic Forum from 2016 to 2018.

He is the President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), and the Vice President of the Indian Institute of Metals. Mr. Narendran is a Mechanical Engineer from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Trichy and did his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta.

He is a recipient of Distinguished Alumnus Awards from both NIT Trichy and IIM Calcutta. He is a Chevening Scholar and has also attended the Advanced Management Programme in CEDEP-INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France.
