National Ho Film Festival’s Cine Award Ceremony Set for June 16
Exciting cultural event to be held at XLRI Auditorium in Jamshedpur
The National Ho Film Festival will host its much-anticipated Cine Award Ceremony on June 16 at the XLRI Auditorium, promising a vibrant cultural showcase.
JAMSHEDPUR – The XLRI Auditorium in CH Area, Jamshedpur, will come alive on June 16 with the Cine Award Ceremony of the National Ho Film Festival, featuring an array of cultural performances.
Various Awards Categories
The awards will honor achievements in multiple categories, including Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Director.
The selection includes four feature films, seven short films, and twenty-seven music video albums.
Jury Screenings and Evaluations
Jury screenings for the films “Birla” and “Phagun Punai” were held on Wednesday.
The distinguished jury panel included film producer and director Rajuraj Biruli, choreographer Pradhan Bansingh, actor Prakash Purti, and editor Charan Ugursundi.
Screenings for music video albums will take place on Thursday.
Ceremony Details and Esteemed Guests
Sura Biruli, President of the All India Ho Film Association, announced that the event would feature 15 categories for Ho feature films and 10 awards each for short films and music video albums.
Chief Minister Champai Soren has been invited as the chief guest, along with MPs, MLAs of Kolhan, filmmakers, producer-directors, educationists, litterateurs, social workers, intellectuals, and heads of self-governance systems.
Film Screenings at Adivasi Ho Samaj Bhawan
The jury screenings commenced on June 11 at the Adivasi Ho Samaj Bhawan in Golmuri.
Films like “Bar Bite Hasa Lagid” and “The Ho: People of the Rice Pot” were showcased, followed by “Birla” and “Phagun Punai” in the subsequent days.
On Thursday, 27 music video albums, including popular titles like “Janam-Janam,” “Dil Pere Duku,” and “Adivasi Ko,” will be screened.
Cultural Performances and Entertainment
Sura Biruli emphasized that all arrangements for the Cine Award Ceremony-2024 have been meticulously planned.
He highlighted that attendees could expect captivating performances from actors and actresses in tribal films, as well as artists from Jharkhand, Bengal, and Odisha.
Biruli remarked, "The ceremony will feature an exciting lineup of cultural presentations and entertainment, ensuring a memorable experience for everyone."
