3rd National Ho Film Festival Celebrates Tribal Art and Culture in Jamshedpur

Chief Minister Champai Soren Pledges Support for Films in Tribal Languages

The 3rd National Ho Film Festival, held at XLRI Auditorium in Jamshedpur, showcased the rich tribal art, culture, and languages of Jharkhand, with Chief Minister Champai Soren pledging government support for films in tribal languages.

JAMSHEDPUR – The 3rd National Ho Film Festival, organized by the All India Ho Association, celebrated the vibrant tribal art, culture, and languages of Jharkhand at the XLRI Auditorium in Jamshedpur.

Chief Minister Champai Soren, who graced the occasion, emphasized the importance of film production in tribal languages, stating that it provides a platform for tribal artists to showcase their talent.

Soren assured the gathering that the state government would fully cooperate in the production of films in tribal languages and in promoting artists, recognizing the significance of preserving and enriching Jharkhand’s unique cultural heritage.

The Chief Minister Honored tribal artists and congratulated the All India Ho Association for successfully organizing the festival, which saw the participation of film producers, directors, actors, and actresses from Jharkhand and Odisha.

The event featured a colorful award ceremony, with accolades given for Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, and various other categories in feature films, short films, and music albums.

Writer and social worker Budhan Singh Hessa was conferred with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to literature and social work, and for his efforts in promoting the Ho language and culture.

The festival also witnessed captivating dance performances by various groups from Jamshedpur, Odisha, Rangpur, West Bengal, Ranchi, and Chaibasa, adding to the cultural extravaganza.

The successful organization of the 3rd National Ho Film Festival highlights the commitment of the All India Ho Association and the state government in preserving and promoting the rich tribal heritage of Jharkhand through the medium of cinema.
