Jharkhand Team Shines at International Shotokan Karate Competition in Nepal

Players Secure 25 Medals, Including 2 Gold and 7 Silver

A 14-member team from Jharkhand demonstrated their exceptional skills at the International Shotokan Karate Competition held in Gokarneshwar Municipality, Kathmandu, Nepal, securing a total of 25 medals across various categories.

CHAKRADHARPUR – Competing against participants from countries such as Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and Bhutan, the Jharkhand team showcased their prowess in the two-day event.

The contingent, consisting of boys and girls from different age groups, performed remarkably, claiming 2 gold and 7 silver medals.

Additionally, the team earned several bronze medals, further highlighting their talent and dedication to the sport.

The Jharkhand team’s outstanding performance at the international competition has brought pride to the state and showcased the potential of its young karate athletes.

Triumphant Return and Warm Welcome

Upon their return to Chakradharpur on Friday, the victorious players received a warm welcome from Sensei Ankita Shil at Pawan Chowk.

The athletes were garlanded and treated to sweets as a gesture of appreciation for their remarkable achievement on the international stage.

The welcome ceremony celebrated the team’s success and acknowledged the hard work and dedication put in by the players and their coaches.

The Jharkhand team’s triumph at the International Shotokan Karate Competition serves as an inspiration for aspiring karate practitioners in the state and encourages more young individuals to pursue the sport.
