Jharkhand Flying Institute seeks retired AAI personnel for Airport Director role at Dumka Airport

Jharkhand Flying Institute, located at Birsa Munda Airport, State Hanger, Hinoo, Ranchi, has announced an opportunity for retired Airport Authority of India (AAI) personnel to apply for the position of Airport Director at Dumka Airport on a contractual basis under the RCS-UDAN Scheme.

RANCHI – The Jharkhand Flying Institute has invited applications from experienced retired personnel of the Airport Authority of India (AAI) to fill the post of Airport Director at Dumka Airport on a contractual basis.

This recruitment drive aims to support the operation of Dumka Airport under the Regional Connectivity Scheme-UDAN (RCS-UDAN), a government initiative to enhance air connectivity to smaller cities and towns across India.

Interested candidates must possess a minimum of 15 years of experience in AAI airport operations, with exposure to APD or officiating as APD at AAI airports.

The selected individual will be responsible for overseeing the airport’s operations, ensuring compliance with DGCA rules and regulations, and maintaining an awareness of advisory circulars, BCAS rules, policies, and procedures.

Applicants should have served as an APD or at least a Joint General Manager at AAI and must be well-versed in English and Hindi, with excellent communication and coordination skills.

The Airport Director will handle various administrative responsibilities, including personnel management, finance management, revenue generation, and budgeting.

Candidates with certifications in Aviation Safety Directorates, RTI, Litigation Management, Media Management, Performance Management, and knowledge of ISO 5001 (Energy Management System), ISO 9000 (Quality Management System), Master Planning, and Project Management will be given preference.

The recruitment is based on meeting the criteria of prescribed qualifications, and the candidate will be shortlisted on the basis of documents submitted.
