Education Director Assesses MGM Hospital Construction Progress, Identifies Deficiencies
Principal Secretary of Health Department to Inspect Facility on June 10
SK Singh, Education Director of the Health Department, inspected the under-construction hospital at MGM Medical College on Saturday. He reviewed the progress, identified deficiencies, and set a new target for the hospital’s inauguration by November.
JAMSHEDPUR – Education Director of the Health Department, SK Singh, conducted a comprehensive review of the ongoing construction work at the MGM Medical College hospital on Saturday, thoroughly examining the entire facility, pinpointing areas requiring improvement, and providing instructions to address shortcomings.
Mr. Singh expressed satisfaction with the swift progression of the construction work.
Initially slated for completion by June, the project has currently achieved a 75 percent completion rate.
Consequently, the authorities have revised their objective, aiming to commence hospital operations by November of this year.
The Education Director disclosed that the Principal Secretary of the Health Department is scheduled to conduct an inspection of the hospital on June 10.
Mr. Singh’s visit served as a precursor, allowing him to assess the situation firsthand and brief the Health Secretary accordingly while ensuring that any identified deficiencies are rectified promptly.
According to Mr. Singh, the upcoming hospital will boast cutting-edge amenities.
With a total capacity of 623 beds, the facility will feature an impressive 128-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), catering to critically ill patients.
The inspection was attended by several prominent figures, including MGM Medical College Principal KN Singh, Superintendent Ravindra Kumar, Deputy Superintendent Nakul Prasad Chaudhary, RK Mandhan, and Umashankar Prasad, among others.
Their presence underscores the significance of this project and the collective effort being made to establish a top-notch healthcare facility in the region.
A local resident, Amit Sharma, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming hospital, stating, "We have long awaited a modern healthcare facility in Jamshedpur.
